Short description:
The main aim of this project is to raise awareness about the environmental inequalities caused by the “urban heat island effect” that increasingly emerges in cities due to climate change, rapid urbanisation, and unplanned development. In this context, the project seeks to highlight how rising temperatures in urban areas do not affect all individuals equally and how vulnerable groups are disproportionately exposed to environmental risks. The project aims to contribute to the creation of inclusive, fair, and sustainable urban environments by actively involving young people and youth workers, particularly those coming from social, economic, and geographical disadvantage backgrounds.
